To top off this past warm-weather weekend in Baltimore, my roommates and I were craving icecream! On Sunday night, April 30th, we decided that Bmore Licks would be perfect for our first “icecream outing” of the spring season. Bmore Licks located on Eastern Ave is typically our go-to spot for icecream because of the short 10 minute drive from Loyola’s campus and the countless unique and almost “gourmet” ice cream flavors on the menu. Not only are there many options to choose from, but the ice cream is homemade and delicious! You can choose from their frozen yogurt, soft serve, hard icecream, sundaes, floats, and a variety of toppings and cones. Every option is great and you truly can’t go wrong!
As we drove through downtown Baltimore on our way, the community was lively and many people gathered together to enjoy the warm weather. Bmore Licks is right across from Patterson Park which was crowded with locals from the surrounding neighborhood. When we arrived, the vibrant mural outside the shop made me excited for summer and to eat my ice cream! Bmore Licks is always busy not just for the top-notch icecream, but for the inclusive and caring staff and customers that the business attracts. I find their success to be a reflection of Baltimore’s values, not only surrounding the quality of food, but the service and quality of the people.

I normally get pretty overwhelmed looking at the menu with an extensive amount of options but I always find myself returning to the same flavor- Cookie Monster. Cookie Monster has always been my favorite, being a perfect blend of Oreo cookies in blue vanilla icecream. After we ordered, we decided to enjoy our icecream sitting at the tables outside. It was really fun to talk with my friends, taking in the inviting atmosphere around us and the warm spring-evening. I’m sure this won’t be the last time I get icecream from Bmore Licks and am excited to return through the season! |
